From "Conchology" the study of shells, I love the delicate colour of shells but I am also nervous of their brittle nature. By capturing the form in resin they are wearable everyday. I found studying their patterns and recreating their hues for this series a very meditative process. This one-of-a-kind necklace is formed in the shape of a "Scallop" seashell from solid colour resin layered by hand, painting and blended delicately in blushing colours in homage to the real beauties of the ocean.
