From "Conchology" the study of shells. I love the shapes and subtle graded colours of shells but always aware of their brittle nature. By capturing their form and recreating them in resin they can become wearable objects to enjoy everyday. I found studying their patterns and recreating their hues by patiently layering often almost invisible gradients of colour layers for this series a very meditative process. This one-of-a-kind necklace is formed in the shape of a "Scallop" seashell from solid colour resin layered by hand, painting and blended delicately in blushing colours in homage to the real beauties of the ocean.
